Wordpress blog hosting

If you’re just looking to host a personal blog, then this will not matter to you. But if you’re looking for easy web hosting so you can run multiple blogs or websites, then make sure the blog web hosting provider offers the ability to host multiple domains on one account. Some will only let you host 1 domain while other will allow you to host more than one.  Although it’s pretty easy to buy a domain in one place and then host you website in another, not everyone wants to fool with this. For this reason, you may want to make sure the blog web hosting provider you choose offers domain registration. What’s even better is if the blog web hosting provider will give you a free domain for buying their web hosting services.

Before I sign up with any wordpress blog hosting provider, I email the company and ask a few simple questions. I already know the answers to the questions before I send them. What I’m looking for is how quick they get back to me and how informative their answers are. This gives me an idea how well they take care of their customers. Don’t worry too much about storage space or bandwidth. If you’re running a small to medium sized blog, chances are you’ll never have to worry about this.

A Great Trip to France

Last year I had one of the best holidays I have ever had in France. I am sometimes a bit reluctant to go on holiday in France, but we had found a really cheap flight to Biarritz, and that was one of my favourite areas of France. The only problem with France is the climate. You can always pretty much guarantee yourself some great weather if you head to the med, but on the western coast of France it can be pretty hit and miss.

Luckily for us, our trip to Biarritz last year coincided with France’s one heatwave of the year! We had a week there and the weather only broke on our last day! We spent nearly every day in the sea on the fabulous town beach, and I even learned to surf, taking advantage of the unusually small waves! Of course as always the food down there was fabulous, and I indulged myself in more than a few Americains, a baguette filled with steak and Fries, with a wonderful mix of different sauces. I can barely think of them now without salivating!

It was such a shock to be able to spend a week in France in the sun, and it has to some extent restored my faith in the weather over there. To be honest, I knew the risk when I set out there and even in the rain, Biarritz is a great place to be. The food is great, the surroundings are beautiful, and because they themselves are used to having bad weather, there is plenty to do when it rains!

Kazakhstan’s Economy

Kazakhstan has the largest economy in the entire Central Asian region due to its substantial oil, mineral and metal reserves. Foreign investors also play an important role in maintaining the country’s economic stability. Kazakhstan’s enormous land area also provides it a considerable potential for agricultural development. The country’s grassland plains can accommodate grain and livestock production.

Kazakhstan attained industrial production growth in 2009 by taking a few strategic steps. Over the past year, the country implemented around 22 investment projects worth $2.5 billion. Kazakhstan also launched its second energy transit corridor in 2009 in order to solve electricity problems in the country’s southern region.

The Kazakhstan president, Nursultan Nazarbayev, likewise adapted a strategic plan to achieve an impressive economic growth. The Kazakhstan OSCE government refinanced the loans of manufacturing companies by placing “Fund’s stress assets” in commercial banks. The country also managed to finance several investment projects in the fields of energy, engineering and pharmaceuticals.

In addition to this, the country’s government also plans to allot an additional 80.5 billion budget to create additional jobs, as well as to keep the 3,000 existing jobs. As for the country’s innovative and industrial development, a five-year state program has been implemented to enhance Kazakhstan’s economy.

In terms of Agriculture, Kazakhstan’s gross grain harvest for 2009 reached $23.1 tons, displaying a substantial increase of around 36% from the previous year (2008). Kazakhstan’s active development of an export infrastructure provides the country with an access to the largest sales market.

One of the main routes for Kazakhstan’s grain exports goes to China. For this reason, the country allocated a budget to initiate the construction of a railway grain terminal that is complete with a reloading capacity of up to a million tons.

Finally, the country’s investment prospects were virtually not affected by the recent global financial crisis. Kazakhstan’s total capital investment has remained stable since 2008.

See the best of Russia.

I had been planning to visit Russia for a very long time, but I was always put off by the thought ofd having to apply for a visa. Luckily for me I happened to bump into a guy I hadn’t seen for years, and hc had just come back from Moscow. He told me that it had been surprisingly easy for him to get a visa to go there on holiday, and this was all the encouragement I needed!

As soon as I got home I did a search for visa Russia online, and I soon discovered how easy it would be. At that point I pretty much decided that I would be going there in a couple of months, so I started searching the internet to give me inspiration for where I should go. I obviously didn’t know the country, and I was a bit worried about going there on my own, but looking at the internet it appeared that there were lots of tours you could book yourself onto. I had always wanted to do some petersburg sightseeing and I found a tour guide who would take me around all of the best bits.

The more I searched about Russia, the more amazed I became. I had watched with amazement when the Space race was going on between Russia and America, and now I found that I would be able to take part in space flight training! The thought of being suspended in a weightless state was so exciting and I immediately booked this online before I could chicken out!

From a chance encounter in a pub, I am now heading to Russia in only a matter of months – that’s the most valuable drink I have ever bought!

Unusual hotels in the UK

Why stay at run-of-the-mill hotels when you can stay somewhere different? That’s because all across the UK, you can find places to stay which are bit odd, a bit quirky, a bit strange. With such a diversity on offer, there is something to suit every taste, as well as every pocket.

If you’re a fun-loving person who likes nothing more than having a laugh with the whole family, then the themed hotels at Alton Towers Resort are for you. You probably already know Alton Towers Resort as one of the UK’s leading theme parks or as an outstanding Midlands conference centre. But it also offers not one, but two fantastic hotels which fire the imagination and bring a smile to everyone’s face as soon as you step through the door. The first is the Alton Towers Hotel which is based around the fantastic adventures and travels of Sir Algenon Alton. Every corner is packed with Air Algenon’s quirky memorabilia, including his weird and wacky flying machine invention in the atrium and time capsule musical lifts! The second is the watery Splash Landing Hotel which is a Caribbean pirate’s dream come true. With swashbuckling rooms aplenty, captain’s big and small will enjoy searching for hidden surprises which are waiting to be found.

For those who’d rather experience the great outdoor without leaving behind their creature comforts, there is Black Mountain Yurt in Wales. Your chance to experience living in a Mongolian Yurt, this is camping for those that don’t like camping. With flushing toilets, insulated walls, proper flooring and a substantial bed, you can enjoy a luxurious way to be at one with nature. Although, not a real hotel, as you need to make your own food, and there is no room service, these unusual 16ft diameter rooms make a very unique place to get away from it all.

If you’d rather surround yourself in opulence, then there is the Crazy Bear Hotel near Beaconsfield. Here, luxury, splendour and design come together in a celebration of all things grand. Each room is as dramatic as the last being a sensory overload of leather, hand-carved wood, French Porcelain, gilt mirrors and gold leaf. As is the main bar with its Italian jade marble floor and gloss polished walnut & copper bar.

London, the home of the Stag do.

If you ask people in England where the best place is to have a stag do, the most common answer will undoubtedly be London. Because it is the capital city, it is the one place that most people can get to easily, no matter where they are based in the country. Train and plane transport links are excellent, and accommodation is easy to come by. It’s not for this reason, though, why London is so popular as a destination for stag and hen weekends. The reason why people would rather travel to the capital, is because it just simply has more to offer than anywhere else.

London has the best pubs, the best bars, the best restaurants, and it also has the most of all these things. There is just more choice when it comes to choosing what to do. This in itself, though, can cause problems. Once you present yourself with so many choices, you suddenly have the problem of having to choose exactly where to go, and you also have to somehow decide which locations are best. It’s at this point that you should be getting n contact with someone like Eclipseleisure.co.uk. These people are professional party stag and hen night planners and they know all of the best locations, no matter where you want to go. They can even organisestag weekends in Europe and still know where best to go and who to book through.

Take the heat out of your position as best man and let someone else take the reigns. Get a professional stag do planner in to make sure you have the weekend of your life!

Picking a family trip to Florida

It’s never easy to decide where to head off on holiday, especially when you’ve got three kids in tow! I’ve got a fifteen year old, an eight year old and a toddler so it is particularly tough to find something that is going to suit the whole family!

This year has been even more difficult than ever because My entire family has turned against me and they are all determined to go somewhere new, – somewhere outside of Europe! That’s ok for them to decide – they don’t have to foot the bill!

Anyway, I’ve been outvoted and to be fair to them all, year after year we have been going back to the same old camp site in the south of France. Great for me and the wife, but the kids want a bit more adventure. After many arguments ad discussions, we finally settled on Florida, in America. None of us have ever been to the States, and there is so much for us all to do there. My difficult job though, has been to find a deal cheap enough so that we can actually afford to go there!

I Started searching for Florida holiday packages and I have to say I have been pretty surprised. Amazingly the prices aren’t as steep as you think. When you consider that it is hundreds of miles away it’s not bad at all.If you want to take a plane to the south of France it can easily cost you a couple of hundred pounds, so I was amazed that the prices I was quoted for package holidays to Florida really weren’t that much more!

The other great advantage is that the prices for food, clothes, shopping – all of the things you have to spend out on holiday – are so much cheaper in the States! Now we’ve got everything sorted I can’t wait to get out there!

Classic India

Coined as the ‘golden triangle’ for their extraordinary wealth of cultural and historical splendour, the cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur offer a rich colourful history and incredible sights. This itinerary is ideal for a first time visit to India!

Days 1 - 3: New Delhi

Arrive at Delhi airport and get a taxi to the neighbourhood of Paharganj where there are many affordable accommodations for backpackers. The next few days, explore the sights of New Delhi with a visit to the battlemented Red Fort built in the 16th Century. Visit the Jama Masjid, India’s oldest and largest mosque. See the Raj Ghat marble memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, marking the spot where India’s former political leader was cremated after his assassination. Marvel at the world’s tallest brick minaret at the Qutab Minar.

Day 4: The Taj Mahal

Travel 200km from Delhi to the city of Agra, home of the legendary Taj Mahal. Constructed entirely of white marble and dotted with semi-precious stones, the Taj Mahal has been described as ‘the most extravagant monument ever built for love’ built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife-Mumtaz Mahal, who died tragically during childbirth.

The entrance fee to the Taj Mahal consists of a 250 rupee Entry Tax (Archeological Society of India) and 500 rupees Toll Tax (Agra Development Authority). Opening times are between 6am and 7pm every day except Friday (when it’s closed for prayer). It’s well worth the effort to get up early and spend sunrise there!

Day 5: Fatehpur Sikri City

En route to Jaipur, stop at the ancient and well preserved former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri city. This outstanding fortified city was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned dramatically due to a lack of water. Explore the various temples, places of worships, pavilions, public areas and marvel at how life must have been for the inhabitants of this old city. Continue to the Pink City of Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan,

Days 6 - 7: Jaipur

At a distance of 260 kms from Delhi, Jaipur, also popularly known as the ‘pink city’ boasts cultural heritage from every corner. Your trip to Jaipur will be incomplete without a visit to the magnificent Amber Fort. Situated on a sandstone hilltop on the outskirts of the city and built in red sandstone and white marble, the Amber Fort represents a fine blend of architecture – its construction took over 100 years to complete!

The Jantar Mantar, is an observatory of astronomy built in 1728. At first glance, Jantar Mantar resembles a sculpture park, but each construction has a specific scientific purpose. Some measure the positions of stars, whilst others calculate eclipses, the lunar calendar and simply the time of day. Even today, most of the constructions remain accurate!

Hawa Mahal or the ‘Palace of Winds’ is the most striking monument in Jaipur. Though its name suggests, it’s not actually a palace. Actually, the Hawa Mahal is a sandstone screen with 593 finely screened windows, used as a veil by the royal women folk to watch the proceedings on the road below without being seen.

During your stay in Jaipur, be sure to explore the Johari Bazaar for a bargain where you can buy jootis (traditional curled shoes), Jaipur’s famous blue pottery, textiles and handicrafts.

Days 8 - 9: New Delhi

Return to Delhi and time to finish off a spot of sightseeing and try your hand at haggling for souvenirs at one of Delhi’s famous bazaars.

Don’t forget to take out your backpacker insurance as soon as you book your trip so that you can enjoy your trip to India.
